Mark Zuckerberg Set to Join Silicon Valley Billionaires Moving Into Miami Homes

Meta Platforms founder Mark Zuckerberg is planning to buy a home in the Miami area, joining a growing list of ultra-wealthy tech leaders expanding their presence in South Florida, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are reportedly considering a property on Indian Creek — the exclusive man-made island in Biscayne Bay known as Billionaire Bunker. The highly secured enclave is home to high-profile residents including Jeff Bezos, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, Carl Icahn, and Tom Brady.

With an estimated net worth of $240 billion, Zuckerberg already owns multiple properties across the U.S., including homes in Palo Alto, Lake Tahoe, Hawaii, and Washington, DC. It remains unclear whether the potential Florida purchase would mark a relocation or simply an addition to his extensive real estate portfolio.

The move comes as California debates a proposed one-time wealth tax on billionaires, a measure that has prompted several high-net-worth individuals — including Peter Thiel and David Sacks — to leave the state. South Florida, with its favorable tax environment and luxury real estate offerings, has increasingly attracted tech executives from California.

In recent weeks, Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have also made major real estate purchases in the Miami area, underscoring the region’s growing appeal among Silicon Valley’s elite.
